Jhargram Sabuj Pran is a non-profitable, non-government organization of Jangalmahal. Registered under West Bengal Act. xxvi of 1961 with registration no. S/IL/80890 OF 2011 – 2012 in the district of Jhargram. Ten enthusiastic young and middle-aged people set up this organization. They are wholeheartedly social workers and started their work in the remote villages of Jhargram District but their help reaches every corner of Jangalmahal.
We have initiated providing recreational drawing and dance classes to the children of the local slums with the motto to uplift the underprivileged to the mainstream of society. Jhargram Sabuj Pran always fights for the destitute, especially the children of those families who have benefited from us. We teach them moral lessons, basic learnings, and avoid abuses. School dropouts are admitted to nearby schools with the help of the local government authorities. We are thankful to all school authorities for their extended help.
We fight against malnutrition and all other diseases with the support of the health department. Medical eye camps and health camps are organized from time to time. The credit goes to all doctors and supporting staff. Our volunteers are always dedicated to supporting needy people with food, medicine, and cloth.
It makes us surprised that even today in remote villages of Jangalmahal, Durga Puja is not organized. Local children cannot enjoy puja due to that. Every year in the Durga Puja Festival we bring the children of remote villages in a luxury bus to the nearby town and arranged for the new dresses, delicious tiffin, and lunch with special menus.
They are led to all renowned pandals there and support them to enjoy the puja festival with all of us. At the time of return, they are gifted with toys and other valuable gifts. In return what we get from them is their original laugh with gratitude.
Lodha sabra is a deprived tribe of society. most of them never get the facilities. offered by the government for them. We took a drive to equip with the caste certificate and thanks to God we were successful. We believe God is there in everyone’s heart. Through our offerings the backward we offer God.
